ABOUT

I qualified with a B.A. Hons degree in Printed Fashion Textile Design at Central School of Art, London in 1987.
I have since diversified, painting, glazing and firing ready made bisque pottery in my studio.
My passion in life is colour and pattern and being half Greek, I am strongly influenced by Mediterranean colours and light and the sea.
I enjoy painting utilitarian ceramics which complement the colour of food, or just light up the day in the depths of winter.
I use three main techniques, and sometimes a combination.
Wax resist, Sgrafitto, and bottle and nib line drawing and painting. I also use my designs on scarves, prints, cards, tea towels and commissions.
Everything you buy from me is designed, hand painted, glazed and fired by me and only available through me, and no two works are the same.
All rights are reserved on my work, including commissions.

SUSTAINABILITY

The electricity used to fire my kiln comes from a mixture of energy generated from solar panels on my studio roof and renewable sources provided by my energy supplier.
The packaging I use is the remainder of bubble wrap which I bought over 5 years ago, I will continue to use it until it's finished. Please could I ask, that where possible, you reuse it, or pass it on to someone who can.
All packaging from my suppliers will be reused, from cardboard boxes, to filler and air pillows. Any new packaging in the future will be sustainably sourced and plastic free.
