JENNY MITCHELL CERAMICS
Welcome to my new website.
Original, colourful hand painted ceramics, prints, scarves and cards.
Following Government guidance,
from Thursday 5th November 2020, my studio will be closed until 2 December 2020. Slots are for a maximum of two people and can be booked below.
I will be continuing to do commissions for people and selling items through my online shop, with click and collect operational.
So please do get in touch if you need a special gift.
POSTAGE AND COLLECTION
Currently my website shop is set to collection only. If you live relatively close by, and are able to pick up any items purchased, this is the safest way to get your pottery and can be done in a COVID safe way, picking up prepaid items from outside my studio.
If you would like me to send an item in the post, please get in touch and I can calculate the cost of P&P.
I qualified with a B.A. Hons degree in Printed Fashion Textile Design at Central School of Art, London in 1987.
I have since diversified, painting, glazing and firing ready made bisque pottery in my studio.
My passion in life is colour and pattern and being half Greek, I am strongly influenced by Mediterranean colours and light.
I enjoy painting utilitarian ceramics which complement the colour of food, or just light up the day in the depths of winter.
I use three main techniques, and sometimes a combination.
Wax resist, Sgrafitto, and bottle and nib line drawing and painting. I also use my designs on scarves, prints, cards, tea towels and commissions.
All my work is hand painted, and no two works are the same.
All rights are reserved on my work, including commissions.
I am available for Birthday, Anniversary and Wedding commissions.
Please drop me an email or message if you wish to discuss a commission.
Alternatively my studio is available to visit by appointment only to discuss ideas in person. Examples of previous commissions below.

The electricity used to fire my kiln comes from renewable sources.
The packaging I use is the remainder of bubble wrap which I bought over 5 years ago, I will continue to use it until it's finished. Please could I ask, that where possible, you reuse it, or pass it on to someone who can.
All packaging from my suppliers will be reused, from cardboard boxes, to filler and air pillows. Any new packaging in the future will be sustainably sourced and plastic free.
